Enterprise project outline code

M

Marco

We have 3 types of projects (R&D; Product; customer) and the type of project
is stored in an enterprise project outline code.
For R&D Projects we need a second outline code "Funding"
For Product projects we need a second outline code "product group"
For customer projects we need a second outline code "country"

These codes do not overlap but they are required for these projects. How can
I make appear the second outline code funding for example if the first
outline code is set to R&D projects ?

Thanks for any help.

Hello Marco,
Try this structure :

Customer
Canada
France
USA
Product
Product Group A
Product Group B
Product Group C
R&D
Funding X
Funding Y
Funding Z

Hope this helps,

Hi Gérard,

Thanks, I get the idea but these properties are "Required" fields for a
specific type of project. It makes no sense to use the property "country" for
an R&D project, neither it makes sense to use the property "Funding" for a
customer project.
The "Funding" property is required IF it is a R&D project.
I could maybe solve it with an additional list item "Not applicable" for
example but the question is how to handle the "IF condition".

Marco,

It requires a bit more work, but you can combine the information in
futher levels of the outine code... Something like this structure:

Product
Product Group A
Product Group B
Product Group C
Customer
Customer 1
Customer 2
Customer 3
Customer 4
Our Company
R&D
Funding X
Funding Y
Funding Z
B&P
CAP
Country
Spain
France
England
USA
