Enterprise Project Plans sporadic with updates

1. We have an enterprise project plan with five resources.
2. The PM assigned one task to three resources.
3. Each resource has 33 percent of the task.
4. When one person updates the task at 100 percent.
5. The entire project is signed off as complete.
Shouldn't the overall task now show 33 percent completed versus 100 percent
complete. I am sure this is a project assignment issue. However, my Boss
insist this is a program problem. Please help with the technical support
that the task should be on one line and the sub assignment for the three
resources should be listed separately. Showing perhaps their portions to of
the work need to complete the full task. I hope this makes sense.

What you are describing is NOT the default behavior of Project Server.
Therefore, please answer the following:

1. What is your organization's default method of tracking progress in
Project Server?
2. Have you added any custom fields to the list of Published fields in each
project? If so, which ones?k
3. How were actuals entered on this task? By the team members in PWA? By
you the PM in the actual project plan?
4. If it was by team members, how do you have your team members enter
actuals? Which fields, including any custom Published fields you might use?
5. If it was by you, how did you enter the actuals precisely? What steps
did you use?
