Enterprise Resource Costs

Rohan

Hello Everyone,

We are configuring EPM for one of our clients. They have requested that the
rates for individual resources in the Enterprise Resource Pool should not be
visible to the managers and the administrator. Only a particular role say
(Project Super Administrators) can access that information. I am not sure if
we can do something like this. Please advice.

The second issue we have is, we have to installs of project server 2003 for
our clients viz. Staging and Production. Can someone suggest ways for
migration of data from one instance to another ?

Please let me know.

Thanks

This is not possible. Because of this, we recommend that you do not use
actual salaries or pay rates in the Enterprise Resource Pool. Instead, we
recommend that you use blended or average rates for resources across teams,
departments, business units, or even across the entire corporation.

I'll let others comment on your second question. Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale. We had decided to go with an average price per role. Didnt know
if ppl do the same ...

I am waiting for someone to explain about Data Migration from Production to
staging and Vice Versa..

Thanks again

Very good. So that others see your second question about Staging and
Production, would you please repost only that question? Thanks!
