Enterprise Resource Pool issue

R

I am unable to edit my Global Enterprise Resource Pool from the Project Pro
2003 app. I am running Project Server 2003. I have all administrator
rights and there is one user who can edit the resource pool, but the rest of
us cannot.

Please Help

thanks

Are you a member of multiple Groups in Project Server, or are you a member
of only the Administrators group? If you are a member of multiple Groups,
then I would suspect that the "Edit enterprise resource information"
permission has been set to Deny for one of the Groups in which you are a
member and which has access to the resources in the My Organization
category. Here's how you could diagnose this particular situation:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click Admin - Manage security
3. Select the My Organization category and click the Modify Category button
4. In the Users and groups section, select a Group in which you are a
member
5. Examine the "Edit enterprise resource information" permission in the
Permissions grid
6. If it is set to Deny, deselect this option and leave both the Allow and
Deny checkboxes deselected
7. Repeat steps #4-6 for each Group in which you are a member
8. Click the Save Changes button

Just a thought. Perhaps the others will have some ideas for you also. Hope
this helps.

Dale, you are a correct, but one note, my username had both allow and deny
deselected, but I could not edit the GRP until I explicitly check the allow
box.
Is that meaning that somewhere there are permissions that are customized
that may be overwriting the defaults?

-thanks

I goofed! Step #6 in my original post should have directed you to select
the Allow option. Sorry about that! At least my goof pointed you in the
right direction. Hope this helps.
