Enterprise Resource Pool

To set the permissions for just the Enterprise Resource Pool. Do you have to
have permissions to the Administrators group in Project Web Access.

To add resources to the Enterprise Resource Pool, and update resource
calenaders is all I want the resource to administrate.

It's not as easy as you think, but this is very possible. Here's how:

1. Log into PWA with Administrator permissions
2. Click Admin - Manage Security
3. Create a new Category called Res Pool Admin, or something like that
4. In the Resources section of the Category, select the "All current and
future resources..." option
5. In the Resources section, select the Assignment and Resource views you
wish the admin to see in PWA, if any
6. Click the Save Changes button

Now create a custom Group for this resource pool admin as follows:

1. Click the Manage Users and Groups link in the sidepane
2. Click the Groups link in the sidepane
3. Create a new Group called Resource Pool Administrators
4. To this Group, add the names of those who will administer the Enterprise
Resource Pool only
5. Add the Res Pool Admin category to this new Group
6. In the Permissions grid for the Categories section, set the following
permissions to Allow:

Edit Enterprise Resource Data
See Enterprise Resource Data
See Resource Assignments in Assignment views

7. In the Global Permissions grid, select the Resource Managers template
from the pick list below the grid and click the "Set Permissions with
Template" button
8. Navigate through the permissions you just set and deselect any of them
that do not directly pertain to this job (DO NOT deselect the "Log On"
permission, however)
9. Click the Save Changes button

Your Resource Pool administrator will need Microsoft Project Professional to
be able to do his/her job. Hope this helps.
