Enterprise Resource

Jon

I am working with Project Server 2003 and Project Professional 2003.
I have one resource within the Enterprise Resource Pool that is
currently set as inactive. I desire to make him active. After I
click the checkbox, to indicate active, within the resource information window
and then click save I get the following ERROR MESSAGE.

Microsoft Office Project
Project Server was unable to process the request.
An invalid node name parameter was specified.
OK

If I had clicked Close and Save, after the OK button was clicked the
Enterprise Pool closes. If I just clicked Save and OK the Pool
remains on the screen, appears to be changed but when I close and
re-open the resource is again inactive.

Can anyone shed light on this message?

Thanks,
Jon

Jon,

I do not have an answer to your question but I posted a
question just before you about enterprise resource
scheduling. From your question it appears you have
knowledge of the capability. Would you mind looking at
my post and giving me your thoughts?

Bob,

I found your question and a response from Dale Howard. I would have
nothing to offer beyond that.

Good luck.

The solution to this problem is to re-activate the resource from inside
PWA in the Manage Users and Groups. Modify the user and change them
back to active there.

I have notified MS of the issue.

Brian,
I was so excited to read your response because I have been struggling with
this error for several days now. However, when I tried your short term
solution, it would not work because in my case the enterprise resource that
is "inactive" is a generic resource and cannot find a way to edit the generic
resource in PWA. PWA says that I have to open Project to edit the "active"
field for this resource.

Any ideas that may apply to the generic resource?
