Enterprise will be the death of me, I have decided.
Ok, I have a project published in Enterprise called Mail Confirmation System
Rewrite. It's a very small project and has a whole seven tasks in it with a
linear dependency system, and no external dependencies assigned.
In it is Task 2, Design New Database Requirements, to be done by a gentleman
named Paul R.. This task was due to be completed on 3/24/05 and indeed is set
to 100% complete and 100% Work Complete. It was republished this morning to
make sure I had no synch issues.
Now, In enterprise I go to Resource Center, and I have want to see overdue
tasks, so I filter by % Complete < 100% and Finish <= 04/11/05 and filter.
In the Resource Center report, under Paul R, I see:
Design new System Requirements Mail Confirmation System
Rewrite 3/4/2005 3/24/2005 30% Paul R.
I have no idea where the 30% is coming from. Any ideas? Its a completed
task. I also have seen dates that are wrong on this report versus what is in
the actual project file. I *THINK* that the date differentials are due to the
Resource Center view not taking into account inter-project dependencies, but
if anyone has some insight into this one as well, I'd appreciate it.
