Hello,

How can I get "Enterprise Task fields" information/data into Project
Portfolio??

I can just see the default fields and would like to analze data from my
custom fields. Thank you!

You will need to do the following:

1. Log into Project Server through Microsoft Project Professional with
administrator permissions
2. Click Tools - Open Enterprise Global
3. Click Tools - Customize - Enterprise Fields
4. Select the Task option at the top of the dialog
5. Select the Type of task field you wish to customize, such as Cost, Date,
Duration, Text, etc.
6. Select the field you wish to customize, then click the Rename button
7. Give the custom field a new Name and then click OK
8. Customize the field in the manner you wish, such as with a Formula or a
Value List
9. Click the OK button
10. Save and close the Enterprise Global
11. Close and relaunch Microsoft Project Professional

From this point forward, you can now customize Tables and Views in Microsoft
Project Professional and customize Views in Project Web Access to display
this custom field. Hope this helps.

Dale,

I have done all this already in the past. I still can't see any of the
enterprise PROJECT custom fields/data within the Portfolio Analyzer. I know
that Portfolio Analyzer can't bring in custom TASK fields, but it is suppose
to bring in enterprise PROJECT custom fields. Is there something else I am
missing?

I misunderstood what you meant by "Project Portfolio" in your original
question. I thought you were referring to the Project Center views. Sorry.

To answer your questions, only custom Project outline codes and custom
Resource outline codes appear as dimensions in the Portfolio Analyzer. If
you are using custom Project or Resource fields such as Text, Cost, etc.,
they will not appear. You must use custom Project and Resource outline
codes instead. Hope this helps.
