The Project Server status report feature works well when a report request is
initiated by a single project manager to his/her team. However, we would
like to leverage this feature accross the enterprise (multiple reporting
levels) but cannot figure out how to accomplish. Specifcally, we need a
status report request that works as follows:
VP subits report to DIRECTORS submits report to PROJECT MGRS submits
report to PROJECT MEMBERS.
I know this scenario would kind of work if the VP sent a single status
report request to everybody. However, the key to our status report is that
each level (ie. Director & Project Mgr) be able to REVIEW & UPDATE the
submissions of their direct reports BEFORE sending the update to their boss.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to get the standard Status Report
functionality in Project Server to work as described above? I am looking
for a "forward" option to forward an existing report request to someone else
(much the same as you can forward an assigned task in Outlook to someone
else).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
