I suspect you'll need to install the Palm software included with the Treo.
You'll probably need to re-install the conduit as well after installing the
software included with the Treo, do so. The Handheld Sync Installer is
located in /Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/.
Be aware that the Treo 650 has new "Organizer Plus" applications that have
extra fields and features. Unfortunately, these improvements are not
recognized by the Entourage conduit, and data loss can occur as a result.
Please see this Microsoft Knowledge Base article for more information about
the problem (it applies to Entourage 2004 as well):

To avoid accidental data loss, synchronization between Entourage 2004 and
palmOne's new handhelds is turned off by default. Follow this procedure to
turn on synchronization after both Palm synchronization software and the
Microsoft Handheld Synchronization software have been installed:
1. Launch the HotSync Manager application (usually located in
HD/Applications/Palm)
2. Under the HotSync menu, choose Conduit Settings.
3. Double-click the "Entourage Conduit" entry.
4. Near the bottom, check the option to "Enable synchronization with these
new handhelds."
5. Click OK.
It would be wise to set each section to "Entourage overwrites handheld" with
the "Do once and then synchronize" option checked to avoid possible
accidental data loss.
Now, click OK to go back to the Conduit Settings window (HotSync > Conduit
Settings) with a list of installed conduits. Double-click the "Address
Book" conduit if it is there. Select "Do Nothing" in the sheet that opens,
and click OK. Repeat for all of these conduits if they are in the window:
Calendar, Contacts, Date Book, Memo Pad, Memos, Tasks, To Dos/To Do List.
You should at that point be ready to synchronize.
