Entourage 2004 and Mobile PC Compatibility

P

ptearnen

I am using Entourage 2004 v 11.2.1 (051004) connected to Exchange 2005.
I also have a Mobile PC (Cingular 8125) PDA / Phone connected to the
same Exchange account. When I send an email from the Mobile PC device
the copy of the email stored in Sent Items cannot be displayed by
Entourage.

It is displayed correctly by Outllook and the Ourlook web client...

Here are a few examples of what I am seeing...

I also get HTML messages as plain text with all the tags...

Any ideas? Any workarounds??? I called into MS Support
(SRX060310600942) who did not care and closed the ticket with the
"resolution" of "This format is currently not supported by Entourage.
"... Thanks a bunch!

This is a weird format indeed. I'm puzzled by the X-MimeOLE in the
headers... It might indeed be a format Entourage doesn't support (and I
don't think I've ever encountered it before).

I found a page describing it as a "non-standard" protocol:
http://www.ninebynine.org/IETF/Messaging/HdrRegistry/mail/X-MimeOLE.html

it might be one of these MS-only formats :-\
