Entourage 2004 calendar question

I would like to ask you for your thoughts and ideas for a collaborative
calendaring solution that will work in Entourage. What the office is trying
to accomplish is have events in a calendar that whenever the notes in the
body of the event are changed by anyone, everyone invited to the event is
notified. I worked with a user briefly yesterday on thier public calendar,
but there was no apparent facility to send an update when a change was made
unless the person editing the event was the meeting organizer. The user is
currently using Entourage 2004 but could update to 2008 if needed.

Hi Lisa!

Public folder Calendars have no accounts associated with them and
therefore they cannot send updates.

A meeting invitation requires a meeting organizer and that requires an
account. Otherwise, putting events onto a public folder account is just
posting the event on a virtual bulletin board.
