Entourage 2004 cannot connect to Exchange 2003 SP2 server

I had this working and then, all of a sudden, things went awry. Anyway, I am
unable to connect Entourage 2004 to an Exchange 2003 SP2 server on a MS Small
Biz Server 2003 (also SP2). I can't remember the last thing I did before
everything went South. I also cannot connect to shares (SMB) on the server
either. I cannot "ping" the server hostname via DNS either (of course, SBS
IS my DNS server). I can access the internet through the SBS server and I
can connect to the intranet Sharepoint site. But, that's about it.

I'm not having any issues at all connecting to other Samba shares from my
Vista PC and various others.

If you're unable to ping the server then you have a network issue. If
you're able to access other network resources like the Internet and
SharePoint then I'd speculate the name (maybe your Exchange service's
CNAME) of the server or its IP address has changed. You probably have
the correct information in your proxy server settings.

Or has your internal domain name changed?

I have reconfigured the SBS server several times, but I don't think the
domain has changed (at least, it shouldn't have). It seems like I did an
update of the server before things stopped working.

I'm now having the same issue. It seems that this started for us on the 28th
but I cannot locate any changes made from that time. No matter if we use
Entourage or Mac Mail it locks when trying to download messages.

I can access the account through OWA and there are no issues from what I can
see with any of the messages.

Were you able to resolve your issue yet? If so what did you do?

Thanks
Wade

Since these issues deal with SBS, I suggest also posting your question
in the microsoft public.server.sbs group. It has a few knowledgeable
admins who deal with Macs as well.
