Entourage 2004 Deleted All Contents of Exchange Public Folder - HELP!

I created a public folder and put a ton of messages into it for storage
purposes (things that we desperately needed) and when I closed and then
reopened Entourage it deleted everything out of that folder. I had it
up in OWA and it was fine and then when I saw it happen in Entourage I
double checked OWA and sure enough everything was gone. What the hell?
Obviously there's no backup of these things since I just create the
folder 10 minutes ago. Now I'm completely screwed and these items are
mission critical to our business (including a major deal we are
completing as we speak and over the next few weeks).

These messages had attachements that included credit memos, contracts,
etc. Very important stuff.

If anyone can shed some light on the subject I'd sure appreciate it. I
don't want to touch anything in Entourage at the moment for fear of
losing other data.

Well, I was able to retrieve all the deleted items since I was smart
enough to configure the Exchange server to not delete items until the
store had been backed up but that's not even something I would call a
bug. That's a major SHOWSTOPPER and the product should not have been
released to the public in this manner.

We've been waiting years for a full featured Exchange client for the
Mac. Is this really that difficult? Come on Microsoft. We're sick of
these little "extra things" you throw in. Just give us the same
functionality that works in the exact same methods as Outlook 2003. If
you want to expand from there great, but a lot of us just need that and
don't want to eat up our resources running Virtual PC, Windows, and
Office.
