Entourage 2004: opens hundreds of windows?

Hello. I have a client whose Entourage 2004 occasionally opens hundreds of copies of the main window when right after she wakes up the computer from powersave mode.

I've tried deleting the ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Entourage Preferences file but the problem still occurs. Any other suggestions?

Delete the preference file, manually close each window then rebuild the
database.

~Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Entourage Preferences

Entourage 2008 now allows users to Option-click on the red close button.

David, try to delete the plist files as recommended ny Diane, if it
doesn't works then the identity that u r using. If any old backup
identity is selected this happens.

Thanks for your reply. I had originally done a compact but not a
rebuild, and that didn't fix the problem. I've tried a rebuild now
and waiting to hear from the client to see what happens.

If that doesn't work, would an uninstall/reinstall make a difference?

No. it's in the database. You would need to export the data and import into
a new Identity.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move
to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)
