This is merely a solution to a problem that I spent a few hours trying
to fix.
I hope it helps someone out.
Issue: Entourage 2004 (11.3.5) would not retain any of the Spelling
options in the preferences pane.
Cause: Simply? A version issue. How did this happen? I created an
image for a group of new MacBook Pro's and after installing Office
2004 on the model, I realized that the Office 2004 Test Drive was
still installed. So I trashed the Test Drive and left the rest.
Thus, the Spell Check issue.
So, the solution you ask? Well, you could trash Office 2004 and
reinstall it. Or you could pop in the 2004 cd and do a custom install
of ONLY the proofing tools (in my case English) and that fixed it
right up.
I tried to copy the contents of that folder to another user's folder,
but that didn't resolve the issue. If anyone finds a quicker fix,
please reply.
