Entourage 2004 sync problem

We are having a problem with Entourage 2004-We are connecting to MS exchange server 2003 with Entourage on our Macs. We started having a problem on some e-mail accounts. It Usually happens when we set up the account on Entourage. Usually due to a reinstall. Entourage will start downloading all of their e-mail and folders but somewhere along the download it stops downloading their email. So you have some email in the inbox as well as in the folders, but it never downloads all. then it continuously says updating inbox, folders, etc, but in reality it has stopped downloading. Once it stops downloading the emails it just stays in this updating folders mode. It will keep switching folders it says it is updating but it never stops or gives an error. We have tried reinstalling, making sure we have all the updates for the OSX and MS office, but no luck. We run into this error on Tiger and Leopard even on fresh installs. Also, if we set up the same user on Outlook on a PC it works with no problems!
Can anyone save the day?? Please help!!!

This sounds like you're pointing your Entourage clients to an Outlook
Web Access (OWA) address. Try using a backend server address instead.
