Entourage 2004 to Outlook 2011 Transition

If I purchase a new MAC computer, I will most likely transition from Entourage 2004 (won't run on Mavericks or Mountain Lion) to Outlook 2011 for the Mac. One question I have is whether with Outlook 2011; will I be able to drag the individual emails from the inbox and place them individually on my desktop or external hard drive. I do this now with Entourage.
