Entourage 2004 Won't Import Apple Mail

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: pop

Latest version of all software. Entourage says it imported everything from Mail, but nothing shows up in the Mail Import folder or inbox. There are 100 messages in Mail.

Any thoughts as to why it won't import correctly?

We rarely get reports of Apple mail not importing so there is no known
problem to use as a basis to guess at why yours failed.

Import Apple Mail manually if Import fails:

Archive a mailbox:
Control Click on Mailbox. Select Archive Mailbox
Save to Desktop
Open the folder. Drag the MBOX file into Entourage's folder window

I am also having trouble importing mail into Entourage 2004 from apple mail. It imports some mail and mail box's. Some mail box's have all mail and others only some of the mail. I tried the archive as above with no luck. Any other suggestions? I am using an OS X 10.4.11 operating system.

Sorry, but that is all the info we have. How much mail do you have? If it's
not much you can drag over individual emails.

Thanks Diane. Unfortunately I am also unable to drag and drop emails across for some reason (either in the inbox or a created folder - is there another way?). In addition I do have a lot of mail - but would be happy to drag and drop if that means getting it to work...

Can you drag to the desktop?

I use Entourage 2008 and mine is importing perfectly (for new mail as well as if I delete mail, it's eventually carries through to .mac or .me). The folders I've created in Apple Mail or on .me or .mac do not however show up in Entourage.

You do have it set up as IMAP right?

If you've set it up with .mac - perhaps try creating a new email account with .me and see if that works any better.

Is there a question in here?
