Email Client: Exchange

Hi

I have a client using a MacBook Pro, Mac OS 10.5.6, Entourage 2008 (latest revision), who's Inbox is inconsistent to number of emails seen via OWA web mail. Her mail is hosted in-house on a Exchange 2007 server. Basically she can see all email from PRESENT to a date at the end of July 09 but nothing BEYOND that. When her Inbox is viewed using OWA it shows all emails.

I thought that this may be a local cache issue so I have rebuilt her cache, allowed a full re-download/sync, but still have this problem.

I then created a fresh new profile from with Entourage, re-entered all of her account settings, again allowed a full re-download/sync, but again same problem.

I have set up her account using Apple Mail as a comparison and this worked fine and downloaded all email from present to the last email in her Inbox.

From within Apple Mail I created a folder entitled "Temp" and moved all of her emails in her Inbox to the "Temp" folder, then went back to Entourage and allowed it to sync the "Temp" folder, checked within that folder and again I only see email from present to a date at the end of July 09'. Same problem as when the emails existing within the Inbox.

It appears that beyond a certain email it is having problems, and could be that this certain email is corrupt, but that does not add up in that OWA and Apple Mail can handle it fine.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

(latest revision), who's Inbox is inconsistent to number of emails seen

Using the regular version of Entourage or the new EWS version?
With an up to date Exchange 2007 server, it's really worth applying the
EWS updater.

Hi Guys

The Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac, Web Services Edition resolved the problem. Even though I thought I had applied all updates using the Auto Update app, I don't think that this update was picked up on the Auto Update app. Many thanks for your help.

WSE is not technically an update, it's an alternate version for people
who use the latest Exchange version and want better Exchange support.
