Entourage 2008 Constantly Crashes!!!!

Hi all.
We've upgraded our office to microsoft office 2008. All of our computers, 30, are running Leopard. We are mostly impressed with 2008, except that entourage really is terrible.

We've experienced this across the board with every user. Entourage is extremely unstable. It is nearly guaranteed that Entourage will crash when waking the computer up from sleep, from screen saver, or even switching wireless networks.

We have removed the preferences, re-installed, problem still exists. We are giving serious thought to downgrading back to 2004. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I have spoken to other users, and they say they experience the same issue, some to the point where they physically can not use entourage, cause it just quits.

Are all 30 having problems? Entourage 2008 runs fine for me and many users.
If all of your users are having problems, I would look to something in your
particular setup that is causing the problem.

Without more details, I wouldn't know where to start offering suggestions. I
am working with a developer to help solve install problems. I have forwarded
your email to see if he has any suggestions. Send me an email off list so I
can let you know what I find for your particular situation.

I am the IT director at my company. We bought both educational copies and individual copies of office 2008.
We are all using either a MacBook Pro, or a Mac Pro running 10.5.2. The issue seems to mostly present itself, about 95% of the time, when the computer wakes up from either sleep, screensaver, or when connecting to a network. I did an experiment, in which I would switch wireless network, and/or turn it on off, and found that several times entourage would unexpectedly quit. I believe the issue is related to both waking from the screen saver and from sleep, when the computer goes to reconnect to the wireless network.

I hope this better explains our situation, and I greatly appreciate your help in this manner!

On another issue with office, are you able to forward my issues with excel to a developer? We are experiencing 2 widespread issues as well.

I'm not sure educational copies are legal in the workplace. Just a heads up
here to check that out.
