Entourage 2008 Crashes when switching to Mac Mail.

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel
Email Client: Exchange

I just installed Office 2008. I am getting frequent crashes of Entourage which seems to happen anytime I switch to Mac Mail. I use Entourage for my company's exchange mail, and I use Mac Mail for my personal e-mail. I was using Entourage 2004 without incident prior to upgrading to Office 2008. My Mac Pro (2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo) is running Tiger 10.4.11.

Any ideas on what might be causing the crash? Thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Yes. I am running the most current version. Thanks.

How do you switch from Entourage to Mail??
I really don't see why it would make Entourage crash,
Are the two applications ever syncing to the same server??

I have further narrowed the problem to Entourage crashing after I disconnect from my VPN (it's a Cisco VPN). I thought it was related to my Mac Mail program, but I often check my Mac Mail after disconnecting from my VPN.

Any known issues with Entourage 2008 and Cisco VPN that might be causing the crash?

None that I know of.
What scheme are you following?? Connect through VPN, launch Entourage,
disconnect the VPN, ENtourage crashes??

I wouldn't be too surprise if Entourage didn't like the sudden change in
network configuration.
On the other hand, the Cisco client software is far from stellar. I
would easily see it as the root of all these problems,

Same here too. Entourage running ... connect VPN ... do stuff ...
disconnect VPN ... watch Entourage die.

As soon as I disconnect the Cisco VPN client, Entourage crashes. It
happens every time and I've given up on sending crash reports (it gets
boring after a few dozen times!) 12.0.0 and 12.0.1 had the same
problem and the OS version makes no difference (have tried latest 10.4
and 10.5).
