Here is my scenario.
Have a client using Entourage 2008 and they were previously setup to hit
Microsoft Exchange server using POP. When I came on board I changed the user
over to Exchange and disabled the POP account. However the "Exchange"
account does not view all of the email and it appears that there is still a
folder from the POP3 account that is pulling all of the mail from Exchange.
It is obvious to me that the account/database is corrupted.
Here's what I want to do.
Completly remove Entourage and all assciated files. Reinstall, setup
Exchange account and then reimport all of the data.
Here's the problem.
Client's database is 12.5 GB and the backup fails and says the database is
corrupt. The data utility cannot fix the problem. I was able to create
..mbox files for all of the subfolder of the inbox, however there is 1 folder
with just over 16,000 messages and the backup/archive fails at 13,265.
There are 3 other Entourage users in the network and they are all workign
properly so this is not an Exchange issue.
