Entourage 2008 does not connect after Exchange 2007 upgrade

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

Our IT department does not support Mac officially, but unofficially has no problem with me using my Mac and Entourage on the company network (they even bought me my copy of Entourage 2008). However, after our Exchange 2007 upgrade I am no longer able to connect. Before we had 2003 running without a problem and my Mac was able to connect.

On my iPhone, the only thing I had to change was the server name:
It was changed from 'mail.domain.com' to 'owa.domain.com'. Everything else just works fine on the iPhone, I suppose because it uses ActiveSync and not WebDav HTTP.

It just won't work on my Mac. I've also tried the internal server name (since OWA.domain.com is now the front end server and before we just had one server) and it didn't fix the problem.

Any suggestions? I don't know where to go from here. Everything I've found through Google searches, etc. just doesn't help.

Thanks for that link. I tried it previously and it did not work. Tried again this morning to no avail... I appreciate it, though.

I've done some more research and it appears that the legacy connection stuff must be installed in the servername/exchange directory in order for Entourage to connect with Exchange 2007. It appears that when they upgraded our server, they did away with all legacy support.

Can someone confirm this?

This may be of help to you:

Entourage requires Legacy Applications software for functionality with
Exchange Server 2007

Hope this helps!
