Entourage 2008, Exchange 2003 and Archiving...?

Hi

We run mainly a Windows domain with some MAC users. We use Exchange 2003 and
the Macs have Entourage 2008.

Is there any way we can archive stuff off to .pst using Outlook, and import
this archive to Entourage 2008?

OR the best way to manage busy mailboxes that use Entourage. One account
only a few months old has over 11,000 messages, and this may be slowing the
Mac down.

TIA

No, contrary to popular understanding, Outlook is the only E-mail
application in the world that uses .pst files. These are not a defacto
standard among mail applications.

Outlook and Entourage do not share a common file format structure such
as .mbox. You'll need to choose one for archiving and stick with that.

You need to apply good mail management techniques. Delete what's not
needed and move what needs to be saved to mail folders outside of the
Inbox. The Inbox is synchronized more frequently than others and too
many messages here can dramatically reduce performance. Archive the rest
using your application of choice.

Hope this helps!
