I have been having nothing but problems with Entourage accessing and
sending mail through exchange. It will work for a little while and
then up will pop the error message stated above, and it then puts the
email in the drafts folder. I checked MS's site and I get zero hits
when querying even just for -18600. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. My gut is telling me that it has something to do with the
smtp virtual server, but that is just a notion at this point in time.

This has been asked but we do not have any info on this error.

You have not mentioned what type of account or what version of Entourage and
the OS you are using.

This is OS X 10.5.5 on and Imac with 4GB of RAM, Entourage 2008
12.1.2, using an AD user account information to login to the exchange
2003 server. LDAP queries are working at the directory utility finds
and shows AD information correctly. I have setup the Kerberos
authentication previously, and had the same problem.
