Entourage 2008, Meeting Invitations, and Blackberry's

We are using Entourage 2008 connected to the corporate Exchange server, with the Blackberry Enterprise Server.

Meeting invitations that are accepted in Entourage are not deleted from the inbox of the Blackberry. They appear to be in the Deleted Items folder in Entourage. They are also in the Deleted Items folder on the server (as verified by OWA).

I tested accepting meeting invitations from Outlook and OWA. In both cases, the original invite was moved to the deleted items folder and deleted from the inbox of the Blackberry.

It appears, then, that Entourage does not actually move teh message from the inbox to deleted, but does something else that would cause the pointer to the message to be lost by the Blackberry.

Is this the case? Is there a setting somewhere that controls this action that could be changed to prevent the problem of the lost pointer?

Is Entourage using a front-end OWA address or a back-end server address?
I'd be curious to know if the same thing happens if you use the other
address.

Also, what version of Exchange Server? Can you verify that it is fully
patched?

Entourage is currently configured to use the front-end OWA address.

Will switch to the internal server address and test...

I can confirm the exact same behavior. I am pointing to the internal Exchange hostname. Meeting invites that I respond to in Entourage (and then go to Deleted Items) stay on my Blackberry as unread messages. Problem does not exist if I respond via OWA or Outlook.

Any help? Thanks...
