Entourage 2008-No longer connecting to the Exchange server

Hello,

My machine is:
Macbook running 10.5.8
Entourage 2008 version 13.0.3 (091002)

No problems at home- running VPN and accessing emails. I put the machine
into sleep, go to the office and it can no longer connect to the Exchange
server.

What I have tried so far:

- Pinged the Exchange server- solid connection
- Through OWA on the same machine, with the same credentials, I was able to
log into the exchange server
- Tried using my old PC (running outlook), connected to the same Exchange
Server with the same credentials- no issues.
- Spent some time reading the posts here and tried the following tonight as
well but didn't change the outcome:
1. Created a new identity (under the existing Mac User)- Started Entourage,
same problem
2. Created a new Mac user account, started Entourage there- still not
working.

I've run out of ideas. Please help.

Thanks,
Babak

Try purging the Exchange cache (select the root of the account on the
left pane of the main window and ctrl-clik it to get to the options and
ifnd the command there).

Thanks Corentin.

I don't see that option but I searched and it looks like in Entourage 2008,
by right clicking the Inbox and selecting "Folder Properties" and on the
dialogue box that appears you have a "Empty Cache" button.

The problem is that Folder properties is grayed out for me so I can't select
it. Any other way I can purge the cache?

Thanks,
Babak

That's it!

Really?? You select the root of the account in e-mail view??

Then it might indeed be something else (and I concur on the possibility
of a DNS issue)

Thanks Pawan.

I checked with our IT and they tell me SSL has been removed so if I retry
with the URL http://owa..... That should work.

I tried but I think due to possibly what's in the cache, it's still looking
for the old address (with https:)- I turned on the logging and now see the
following messages which seems to point to the autodiscover- as you pointed
out.

How can I empty the cache? Folder options are grayed out- Do I need to be
connected before cache can be emptied? Here is what I see in the log file.
