Entourage 2008 - No sound notification.

Hi. I have just upgraded to a Mac Book Pro, running OS 10.5. When you first start Entourage it sounds the welcome sound and then if you have mail it sounds that notification. After that it doesn't give any sound notifications on any functions. Can anyone please explain. Thanks

This is a known issue. They (MS) are supposed to have a fix soon.

Thanks to Chris who posted this on a Entourage site. I did this and it
worked for me.

"I found a simple fix (at least for now). I went under preferences and
disable all sounds. Quit Entourage. Open again, go to preferences and enable
the sounds you want. All sounds now work."

Can we please be clear that this is not a Leopard problem? It appears on Tiger as well.

(FWIW, I have done a number of restarts and a good deal of troubleshooting and have yet to hear Entourage 2008 make s single noise of any kind. Entourage 2004 is making all its normal noises if I start it up.)
