Open Entourage preferences and select Sync Services. Check the options you
want.
Entourage Database Daemon (Office Notifications) must be turned on.
Spotlight will index any cache files the Entourage daemon has created even
if the daemon is not launched, but no new cache files will be created until
the daemon is launched again.
Basics of how Sync Services Works

Is this really true. As one of several steps to get around Entourage
2008's terrible impact on performance of the rest of my system, I have
disabled office notifications. At least invoking the "synchronize
now" function seems to transfer events to my iMac calendar. However,
I have also had to set options to "Entourage overwrites MAC" (or
whatever it is called) since I do not trust Entourage not to duplicate
all my calendar events.
Two questions:
1. Am I confused about something?
2. WHEN is Microsoft likely to fix the duplicating event bug?
A third question might be "are there good alternatives to Entourage
that will still sync to our Exchange data base?", but I am skeptical
that Microsoft will be anxious to answer that one.
