Entourage 2008 not syncing with Exchange 2007

Hi guys,

I am trying to connect a fully updated version of entorage 2008
v12.1.1 (updated 30th July 2008) to a reasonably updated version of
Exchange 2007 v 08.01.0263.000 (updated ~3-4 weeks ago) and the
entourage server can auto detect all settings correctly, and even
connects correctly when verifying the account settings, but it will
not sync. there does not appear to be any error messages, it just
sits, flashing the words Schedule "send receive all" will run in 1
minute (because the schedule is set at 1 minute intervals after the
send recieve button is clicked) it will also every now and again
display "not connected" next to the name of the account in the left
hand bar.
I have set up accounts manually, followed every manual and help guid I
can find including ones from the microsoft websites, but no luck so
far. I have read that entourage 2008 does not support the OWA standard
of Exchange 2k7, so can anyone help with this dillema?
thanks,

Hi Josh!

Entourage will connect to Exchange Server 2007 using the OWA address or
some variant like:

server.domain.com/exchange/[email protected]

Connect to your account via OWA in a web browser and examine that
address and its path.

Don't worry about the Send/Receive schedule. It doesn't apply to
Exchange. You can disable it if you like.

Try setting your Exchange account manually. Have a look at these
instructions, which were written for Entourage 2004 but are pretty much
the same for Entourage 2008:

"Connecting Entourage to an Exchange Server at work"
<http://entourage.mvps.org/exchange/exchangeatwork.html>

"Connecting Entourage to an Exchange Server from Home"
<http://entourage.mvps.org/exchange/exchangeathome.html>

If you're trying to use Kerberos switch to regular authentication while
troubleshooting.

Hope this helps!

Hi Bill,

I have already tried this OWA address style, and used both of those
links but to no avail, I am well and truly stuck!!
