Entourage 2008 problems - (1) Sent items doesn't sync with gmail sentitems (2) Missing conversation

Hi - I am a newbie on Entourage.

I setup my entourage to sync with Gmail IMAP. Everything works except
sent items. In my account setting -> advanced tab, I have set 'Sent
Items' to be stored on to '[Gmail]/Sent Mail'.

Secondly, I have seen various posts saying that I can view messages in
Conversation view. However, I can't find that option under View menu
option.

I have no idea about your first issue. My IMAP accounts save my Sent Items o
the server.

On the second, there should be a command on the View menu called Arrange by;
select Conversation on that. Note, however, that Entourage does not nest
replies under the message to which they reply, as Outlook Express does
(unless that's been changed in E 2008, and I don't think it has). If you
would like that feature in Entourage, tell Microsoft using "Send Feedback on
Entourage" on the Help menu.

I can confirm the problem with the second issue in Entourage 2008. I
have no Conversation column listed under the available View columns,
and no sort criteria for Conversation under Arrange By- for both my
local folders (i.e. POP accounts) or my Gmail IMAP account.

Conversation appears to be missing as an option.

Manually reselect your '[Gmail]/Sent Mail' folder just in case it's
pointing somewhere else.

If viewing your Gmail account online be sure to select 'Sent Mail' from
the upper left area of the window. You will not see your messages appear
under the Labels section on the left.

Conversation view in Entourage is limited to Exchange accounts only. You
cannot use it for IMAP accounts.
