Entourage 2008 Rules - How to remove them

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi All,

I have been using Entourage 2008 on my MacBook Pro for over (2) years now and have been pretty happy. For whatever reason, this morning I decided to create a RULE for an email I received. It's an automated email I receive once a week, so I decided to create a rule that moves it into my 'Deleted Items' folder (Mind you I have never created a rule before). Well, I obviously did something wrong because all of me email is going into my 'Deleted Items' folder now.

How do I remove this rule so that all incoming email goes into my 'Inbox' again?

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,

click on Tools>Rules and double-click the rule to edit it. You can also
disable it without deleting it by unchecking the box in front of the rule.

You might also have created a mailing list rule by accident. To find
out, click on Tools>Mailing List Manager and see if there are any rules
in there that you do not remember creating. Disable or delete it, and
any new incoming email messages should arrive in your inbox again.

Thanks Michael,

I had tried the Tools>Rules thing and there was nothing there. But, the Mailing List Manager, is something I had never looked at, and sure enough, that was it. Apparently I did something with a mailing list, and not a rule after all.

Thanks!

Michael

Apparently I did something with a mailing list, and not a rule after all.

There are 3 different kind of rules in Entourage:

Mailing List Manager (MLM)
Junk Mail Filter
Rules (custom rules you create)

They run in the order listed above. The custom rules also run in the order
they are listed. (top runs first)
