Entourage 2008: Sync Services Not Creating Entourage Calendar in iCal

In addition to Sync Services crashing regularly, I noticed today Sync
Services has not created an ³Entourage² calendar in iCal. Turning it on and
off didn¹t do anything. Contacts are syncing properly in one direction
(Entourage to Address Book).

Hardware:
MacBook Pro (Feb 2008) 2.6 GHz, 4 Gb RAM, 250 Gb

Software:
OS 10.5.2, Office 2008 12 .0.1

I've just developed problems with my own syncing. I believe the culprit must be a recent update to iCal from an Apple patch. My "exchange calendar" in Entourage used to sync fine--both ways. Now, my exchange calendar just wipes out the entire entourage calendar in iCal whenever it syncs. It will post a new event from entourage, then, seconds later, deletes it. Strangely, my entourage calendar on "My Computer" syncs just fine. So I've switched the syncing in Preferences to the calendar on "My Computer" instead of my "exchange" calendar. Of course now I have to copy my exchange calendar to the local calendar. Up until now, syncing worked just fine, even with Office 2004. Go Figure.

have just noticed that my contacts in ent.... has almost 9000 contacts and in my address book its 650 contacet

To get rid of duplicates use one of the scripts to remove duplicates.
