Entourage 2K8 lock ups

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange All,

I have a handful of users (included the CEO) who are experiencing a very weird issue with Entourage 2008 (All on varying patch levels) and Leopard/Snow Leopard with Exch 2K3 SP2.

In a nutshell, these users are having an issue in which they will receive an email from a sender that will prevent the user from sending or receiving email.

I can't tell you anything that's common between the senders, as they're all pretty random. We're even seeing this issue with senders that have been fine in the past.

The only commonalities that I see between the recipients is that they have the same SMTP address, they are all using Entourage 2003 and they are all connected to the same Exchange server.

Occasionally we'll see an error message, but it's never the same error message. Sometimes the errors will be related to the Calender, other times the will be related to non-roman characters. (We did apply a hotfix to the Exchange server for this.)

The only thing I can think of is that there is something with the message header?

I am posting the header from one message that was a culprit to this issue to see if anyone has ideas or suggestions (the domain names and public facing IP addresses have all been altered):

My guess is has something to do with barracuda. If someone else doesn't
chime in on this, I suggest asking on the microsoft.public.exchange.admin
newsgroup.

If you are not familiar with a newsreader, Entourage's basic newsreader
already has the Microsoft News server included. All you do is subscribe to
the newsgroups you want. See this article for help subscribing using the

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't use Entourage as I think it's a terrible email client.

Are there any other suggestions?
