Entourage Address Book(s)

I would like to use "categories," but the categories that are applied
to incoming messages apparently have to be in the "Address Book [On My
Computer]", while adding contacts (command-=) adds them to "Address
Book [Exchange account name]". Is there any way to fix this?

That shouldn't be the case. I have contacts in both address books and they
work fine. However, make sure you don't have duplicate contacts - it's
possible if one person is in both address books, Entourage will only detect
the category (or lack thereof) on one of them.

This will default to whichever account you're using at the time. So if
you're viewing a message received on your Exchange account, it will try to
add to your Exchange address book.

You can easily move contacts between address books by choosing "Move To"
from the Contact menu.

No duplicates. The categories are simply not applied if they're in the
"On My Computer" address book.

All messages are in my Exchange account (where else would they be?).

Yes, but that's awkward to have to do every single time I add a new
contact.

Thanks,

Chris
