Hello,
It appears that Entourage is mishandling the display of the To column/field
when the following occurs:
1. The Entourage user is using Exchange and selects a name from the global
directory when typing a last name on the To: line of a new message being
sent.
2. The Entourage recipient of the message sent in step 1 will NOT see
anything for "To" on the message. This occurs because it appears that a
non-printing character is being included in "To:" email address of the
message as in "Last, First<invisible character>". If the message source
text (View menu/Source) of the received message is copied to Word, the
invisible character will be seen (rectangle, or other character).
Here is an example for a message:
Received: from SYNERGY1.matrix.txstate.edu ([147.26.8.32]) by
SYNERGY23.matrix.txstate.edu with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.1830);

Received: from 147.26.176.227 ([147.26.176.227]) by
SYNERGY1.matrix.txstate.edu ([147.26.8.39]) via Exchange Front-End Server
SYNERGY.txstate.edu ([147.26.8.89]) with Microsoft Exchange Server HTTP-DAV

From my research it appears that this was a problem previously for messages
in the Sent Items but evidently was fixed with Entourage 11.2.3.
This is not a critical problem because the recipient is assumed to be on the
"To:" of a message that he has received. In many cases, the user may have
even turned off the display of the To column for Inbox messages.
Nevertheless, MBU needs to deal with this stray ending character that is
being inserted when an email is looked up using the directory lookup
process.
