Entourage and Filemaker

Just discovered your Newsgroup, so don¹t know if you¹ve covered this issue.

I¹ve had a longtime unanswered question about syncing Filemaker with
Entourage. The Filemaker company (Apple, Claris ?) has been unable to
provide a solution.

QUESTION:
I keep my entire database of addresses in Filemaker (since the beginning of
Filemaker!), but I also add and change addresses in Entourage. Is there a
way to sync both databases so I don¹t have to type everything TWICE?

I know I can export data out of Filemaker, but when you¹re adding one name
at a time, it¹s a tedious process.

Well that's not an easy task. I guess you could desing a way to sync
them through AppleScript, but I doubt there is an out-of-the-box
solution for that.
If I understand your question, your address database is a custom
database you designed yourself. I don't see how anyone out there could
have desinged a sync script covering just your particular setup.

I know I can export data out of Filemaker, but when you're adding one name
at a time, it's a tedious process.

I'm not sure I'm following you. You can batch export data.
You could also add a custom field in FMP to add a creation date and
chose to only export contacts entered after a specific date.
