Entourage, Apple, & Web Address Books

Hi,

I am confused about the connection, interrelationship between Entourage,
Apple, & Web Address Books.

I was under the impression that the email addresses in my Apple address book
were picked up in a new Entourage message as I started the first few letters
of the recipient's name, but that doesn't seem to be so.

I record all address, phone, email address etc into my Apple address book.
Is there a way those email addresses can be included into email addresses
that appear as choices when I address a new email?

I'm not really very clear about how entourage address book works. Whenever
I've gone there, using it doesn't seem to be user friendly.

You need to sync it witht he ENtourage address book to get that. Under
Tiger, you have a pref in Entourage allowing you to use SyncServices to
sync the address book and the default calendar to the system Address
Book and iCal respectively,

operating systems?

You might need to reset sync services. First go through this check list:

Especially check to see if you have this file:

Microsoft Entourage.mdimporter in either System/Library/Spotlight or
~/Library/Spotlight

Tiger is 10.4 -the current system.

Panther is 10.3 -the previous OS.

Well and you need to update Office... 11.3.2 is not the latest version.
You need to get all the way to Office 11.3.7 (Entourage will still be in
11.3.6),

Thanks, I didn't catch the old version install. It's IMPORTANT to always
upgrade to the latest version. For example, sync services weren't even added
until 11.3.2. Usually we don't get feature upgrades but we do get bug fixes.

Microsoft does not update each application every time an update is released.
