Entourage Archive files

I tried to post on the Entourage Newsgroup via MS's web interface but for some reason could not. And the school I attend blocks direct newsgroup access, so hopefully this web form will supliment for usenet, because not much can replace MT-NewsWatcher.

Okay I imported all my email via POP3 from my Yahoo Small Business account and this was downloaded to my hard drive. The I archived all these emails to a single file. However it appears that Entourage has ALSO archived saved email from my IMAP account and these are no longer available. I thought I told Entourage to only ARCHIVE emails from the downloaded POP3 Yahoo account and not to interfere with my IMAP account.

Also is there some way to view these emails in that archive file without importing it all? Also will it erase or replace emails?

When you download with POP it will download and delete from server unless
you select the option in Accounts Options tab:

"Leave a copy on the server"

When you say you archived, do you mean you exported as Entourage archive
(.rge)?

No. To view that mail, import it into a new Identity. I would name it
Archive. Switch Identity in Entourage to view.

Even if you imported it into your current Identity it does not replace your
mail. See this movie on importing Entourage archive (.rge)

Yes thats what I did.

Thanks. I did not know this.

I should have created a new identity just for the POP3 download, that way Entourage would not have interfered with my IMAP saved messages.
