Entourage Archiving

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange I was recently tasked with restoring about a months worth of emails from an Entourage archive.
After this experience I now wonder if an offline backup is even worth my time and effort - what a ridiculous set of hoops to jump through, my god.

Are there any plans to fix this? Entourage should just be able to open its own dang archive and allow you to recover from it with switching to NEW IDENTITY and reimporting the entire file!! I'm still numb.

Outlook for Mac will replace Entourage in Office Next Version.
