I love the new beta for a lot of reasons but I keep having trouble when replying to messages that were composed in plain text. I have configured my preferences to reply to messages in the format in which they were sent.

Is anyone else seeing this problem and have you found a workaround?

Just in case someone else might want to try to replicate my settings. In Preferences->Mail & News Preferences->Reply & Forward:

Yes- include entire message in reply
No - use quoting characters when forwarding
Yes- Reply to messages in the format in which they were sent
Yes- Reply using the default account

For Mail Attribution
Place reply text at top of message and include this attribution line:
On [DATE], "[NAME]" <[ADDRESS]> wrote:
Yes- Place insertion point before quoted text

Thanks in advance!

That's exactly what "Reply to messages in the format in which they were
sent" is SUPPOSED to do. If you reply to a plain text message (like this
one), the reply will be in plain text, i.e., without formatting.

If you want to format replies in HTML, uncheck the "same format" setting.
