Entourage calendar crashes

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

have used Entourage 2004 as an exchange account with our work server for some time. Recently, when I try to add a calendar item that requires customization (eg: recurring weekly event with a scheduled endpoint) the program crashes as soon as i click the "custom" option under the "occurs" section. Does it every time. Otherwise works fine. ideas?

Is it the Entourage calendar or the Exchange calendar?

You selected POP as email account type. Do you have both POP and Exchange
accounts?
