Entourage Calendar Event Conflicts Not Working - Help!!

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I have searched everywhere for some clue on this, but no one seems to have the same problem. My office is running Exchange Server 2003 and I have no problem connecting to it - I can use all of Entourage's functionality including seeing others' free/busy information when scheduling events. The problem comes when others send me events that conflict with my calendar events. (Everyone else is using Outlook with no problems.) The events come in with the option to accept/decline, but the event will not show this message when there is a time conflict: "The conflicts with another event on your calendar." Our IT guy thinks it's something with my Entourage, but I think it's something with a server setting or how I'm connecting. I'm really hoping not to have to use Parallels just to see conflicts, but going to the calendar each time to manually check conflicts doesn't work with my job. Any clues??

Entourage 2008 is capable of handling conflicts.

When an invite arrives, Entourage now compares it to the contextually
related primary calendar (like Exchange Calendar) to determine if the invite
conflicts with an existing event or not. If any portion of the time span of
the invite intersects or overlaps with an existing event, an appropriate
status text to that effect is displayed on the incoming new meeting request.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, Pawan. Actually, I have no doubt that Entourage can and should handle conflicts - I have also seen many similar screenshots that confirm this. My problem is that this feature is not working in my office environment between Exchange Server 2003 and Entourage 2008 (Business version, of course). As I mentioned, there are no problems with this feature between Outlook users on the same network.

If I run Parallels/Win XP/Outlook 2007 on the same machine, I have no problem seeing calendar conflicts. BUT, I'm trying to use Office 2008 to keep from having to use a VM (which slows my MBP down quite a bit).

Thanks for any advice anyone can give.
