Entourage calendar time zone does not match Mac OS

Yesterday I first noticed that when I create a new entry in Entourage's
calendar, I get a yellow banner across the top saying "Event time zone:
Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney (displayed) Your computer's time zone:
Hobart". I have the latest versions of Office 2004 (11.2.5) and OS
10.4.8. I have checked my system preferences and the computer is set
for "Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney" as is the default time zone setting
in the Entourage preferences. So far everything seems to be as normal
in my calendar from what I have used. I haven't checked everything. The
problem with Hobart is that Tasmania goes onto Daylight Saving a month
earlier than the rest of the country. I have only noticed this problem
since Daylight Saving started last Sunday - I have no idea if this is
related or not.

Have you restarted entourage since the DST change last weekend?

Entourage only updates the time zone info on a application start up.

I couldn't remember if I had restarted Entourage on not since Dayligh
Saving started, so I just closed it and reopened it and the problem
remains.

My wife had a similar problem (11.2.5). She fixed it by changing her
time zone preference (Preferences, Calendar tab) in Entourage, then
reopening Preferences and chaning it back.

I just gave this a try. Setting it to Hobart (which it says my computer
is set for but isn't!) solved the problem but when I changed it back to
my time zone the problem reoccurred. Hobart and Sydney are currently on
the same time zone it is not affecting my diary entries at the moment
but these cities are an hour different for most of October each year.

I also thought that syncing Entourage with my Nokia N70 might be the
cause of the problem. With Daylight Saving I used the Daylight Saving
funciton on the phone to increase the time by an hour. I have just
turned this off and used the automatic time update function instead. I
then synced it with Entourage and this made no difference either.
Entourage is still telling me my computer is set on the Hobart time
zone when it isn't.
