I'm using Entourage Version 11.4.0 on a Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and I've recently hit the above problem where Entourage won't open and the above message appears. I've tried running the Rebuild database option but as with others the Pc eventually crashes and the rebuild doesn't complete.
I've spent the last few days googling for any information on how to fix this very frustrating problem - since I work from home and have many business contacts in my Entourage address book and emails.
I've checked my entourage database and whilst it's not as big as in some other cases I've read - at 3.7gb it's still over the 2gb limit.
I've copied all my G4 files to an external Hard Drive - just incase this is leading to a disk failure - but I'm not sure how to proceed from here.
Having read about user yl3's experience back in October it seems a good option would be to update Entourage to 12.1.3. I understand that I need to update through all the previous versions to get to this one. Can anyone help me with a pointer to the necessary updates (remembering that I'm starting from Version 11.4.0)?
