Hi,

I've turned to you guys recently for a problem that we had and you've been a great help and yet we need help again.
We have few users that use MACs in Windows environment and one of them has constant issues with Entourage (Mac Mail as well).
One of them is that she can't send calendar event's from Entourage and this is the error that she is getting:

Entourage cannot connect to the server. Verify that the computer is connected to the network.
LDAP Server error
Error: -3260.

Of course this isn't a connection issue and I've looked up this error and Microsoft (of course) doesn't support this (since it is Office 2004 I guess) and doesn't have any solution for this issue apart from the obvious ones.

I appreciate all your help in advance.

Entourage cannot connect to the server. Verify that the computer is
connected to the network. LDAP Server error Error: -3260.

Ask your network administrator or Help Desk for the address of a Global
catalog server on your network. Enter that address in the LDAP server
settings in your Exchange account in Entourage.

Hope this helps!

Bill, thanks for your reply I'll try that but I am not sure that we have one. Its a fairly small organization and I can't recall that GCS was ever setup.

If you're using Exchange then you're using Active Directory. Every
Active Directory installation has a Global Catalog server. If you have
just one server, such as a Small Business Server, then that will be your
Global Catalog server.

This server is a vital part of a Windows Active Directory network.

Hope this helps!
