Entourage Category colors

I am running Entourage on a Macbook pro and an iMac synched via
Exchange server. When I add an appointment in one (or the other for
that matter) and add a category, the category and corresponding color
survive the sync processes. Is there any way to set the receiving
computer to properly categorize the appointments?

Pardon me but that should have said "the category and color DON'T
survive the sync processes" sorry for any confusion!

Both should have the same categories and colors assigned to both computers.
Have you checked to see if they are exactly the same?

Categories are not synched if you use Entourage 2008 or earlier with any
version of Exchange server; this is a known limitation. However, if you use
Exchange 2007 SP1 or later, you can sign up for the Entourage Exchange Web
Services (EWS) beta, which supports category synch via Exchange.
