Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I just installed Entourage 2008 Special Media... in hopes of finally connecting to my Exchange server at the office....

This is strange, I have a connection to the server as it says it is Connected, but I do not show any folders?

Is there something else I need to do to get it to run?

Hi PAWAN, Thanks for that Post,

I made the changes, but still no files.

I am a bit concerned about the second part of the document, it claims:

Important If the mailbox resides on a computer that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, you must provide the name of the computer that is performing the Client Access Server role.

Where do I get this computer name from, and where to I enter it in Entourage?

Okay, I found the CAS Name via the Web Mail Options List.

Now WHERE do I need to define this in Entourage?

You need to provide your CAS name in the Exchange Server field in the
Accounts settings in Entourage. follow this

1. Launch Entourage
2. Click on Tools from the top and select Accounts
3. Double click the exchange profile you have there
4. Now in the Accounts settings tab under server information please provide
the detals.

hope this helps

Unfortunately, no luck?

In the Exchange Server I have placed:

webmail.domain.com/exchange/CASNAME.us.domain.com/[email protected]

I still connect, but NOTHING HAPPENS!!

The account name is still: username
The Domain is still: us.domain.com

Any other thoughts?

You have been most helpful, I really appreciate this.

You need to use this

webmail.domain.com/exchange/[email protected]

and also make sure that if you have a certificate for secure connection
(which is there by default for exchange 2007) you need to check "This DAV
service require secure connection (SSL)" in the accounts settings tab, next
to where we provide exchnage server details.

So, I am back. I have tried for over a week now, but our office keeps on claiming they cannot support me!

I Connect just fine with Entourage, but I get NO FILES?

I have tried just about everything posted and still nothing populates?

This HAS to be something so silly, otherwise, why would I be able to connect?

When I log into webmail, this is the URL that appears:

<https://webmail.domain.com/CookieAuth.dll?GetLogon?curl=Z2Fowa&reason=0&formdir=2>

If anyone has any other suggestions?

I looked at your settings that you mentioned earlier and I see you're
using a "DNS domain" name rather than a "Windows domain" name. A Windows
domain name should look something like "US" and not "us.domain.com".

I have instructions here for connecting Entourage 2004 to an Exchange
Server. The same settings should work for Entourage 2008.

"Connecting Entourage to an Exchange Server from Home"
<http://entourage.mvps.org/exchange/exchangeathome.html>

However, if your Mac is on the same company network as your Exchange
Server (your Exchange Server is not a hosted Exchange Server) then I
suggest you use these instructions instead:

"Connecting Entourage to an Exchange Server at work"
<http://entourage.mvps.org/exchange/exchangeatwork.html>

If your server is an Exchange Server 2007 server then you may need to
change the address from:

server.domain.com

to

server.domain.com/exchange/[email protected]

where "(e-mail address removed)" is your E-mail address.

Hope this helps!

Hi Bill,

I have spent time at this site you provided, and can confirm, we are using Exchange 2007.

My settings are done exactly as you mention:

my domain is indeed us.domain.com
my exchange is: <https://webmail.domain.com/exchange/[email protected]>

I still connect, but do not get any files?

Is there anything else that could be blocking me from seeing the files?

Funny enough, on my iphone, I had it running in 2 minutes! I cannot imagine why this is taking so long?

Pawan suggested I needed the CAS Name? I have the full name of the CAS but not sure where it ends up?

my domain is indeed us.domain.com

You need to be using a Netbios domain name, not the domain you're
specifying above.

If you log in to a Windows computer at work then do you have a domain
that appears on the login screen? That would be a Netbios domain name.
You may need to twiddle an option to display it below your user name and
password. It is probably just "US".

Hope this helps!

Hey Bill,

I type "US" but just the same as the other option, it connects, but still no folders?

So just to summarize:

My username is: (e-mail address removed)
My domain is: US or US.DOMAIN.COM

my exchange is: webmail.domain.com/exchange/[email protected]

OR

webmail.domain.com/owa/[email protected]

ANY COMBINATION of these, still allows me to connect, but results in NO FILES.

anyone else you can recommend to have a shot at this?

Your user name should probably just be "user" and not "(e-mail address removed)".
The same name you use to log in to a computer at work would typically
be the same as "user".

Have you verified your connection information with your Exchange Server
administrator or service profider?
