Entourage contacts to Excel

I'm trying to do something I thought should be easy between Entourage and Excel. In Entourage, I want to be able to copy a sorted list of contacts from my address book and open them in Excel. In my Entourage address book, I did a sort for all contacts in a specific category. The resulting sort shows the results in 4 columns: name, company, email address and the category. I selected all, copied and thought I could paste that into a new Excel spreadsheet. But what occurs is that all the contacts appear on one row in Excel and only two columns of info are copied: name and email address. The data in the company and category columns is absent. The same thing happened when I tried to paste this info into Word. Exporting via Entourage doesn't seem to be an option as far as I can tell, because there doesn't seem to be a way to export a sorted list. It seems that only the entire contents of the address book can be exported.

Many thanks. That was an easy export that I should have seen myself. However, how do I open an RGE file in Excel? I wasn't able to drag it into a new excel worksheet.
